I have a vision for healthcare where, from the moment you enter your appointment, you feel safe to voice your concerns, listened to, and hopeful about what we can achieve together. This is what I strive to achieve with each one of my patients.

I also believe health goes beyond so much more than the physical symptoms we are currently experiencing. I am confident that the prevention of disease holds as much weight as the treatment of current concerns.

I feel so honoured to have been trusted with the health of such a large number of people over the past 8 years. I have had the opportunity to work with people in all stages of health, including from the initial diagnosis of disease, to states of extreme vulnerability, to the relief that comes when they finally feel like themselves again.

My practice style is largely functional medicine based, meaning that I appreciate that things like our genetic makeup can influence how well different therapies work for each person. This approach strives to optimize the function of each organ system, at the same time as providing treatment for disease that is individualized rather than having a one-size-fits-all approach for each diagnosis.

Augmented Treatments

In addition to education in all of the standard naturopathic sciences, I am proud to have the following certifications to allow for a greater scope of treatment for my patients:

  • Prescriptive Authority
  • Immunization
  • IV Therapy
  • Acupuncture
  • Cosmetic botulinum toxin

My Educational Journey

I received my training in naturopathic medicine from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine after graduating with a bachelor of science from the University of British Columbia. Coming from a science and research background, I  believe in using evidence-based medicine to guide my diagnoses and treatments. The end result is confidence in gentle, yet effective, treatments.

I have previously taught pathology and physiology at the Boucher Institute. It was a pleasure to be able to instill my knowledge into the future naturopathic doctors and give back to the profession that I feel so passionate about.

My Practice Focus

I am a primary care naturopathic physician but my practice focus has primarily been on digestive health, hormone balancing and medical weight loss. As a naturopathic physician, I am able to diagnose and treat conditions using both conventional medical and naturopathic approaches in order to find the safest yet most effective treatment for you. My ultimate goal is to get down to the root of what your problem is to make you feel better!

Who I Am

I am a wife and mother of two little kiddo. Spending time with my family is what I enjoy most, whether that is going for a walk through City Park or going on a camping trip. I love being outdoors and in the forest – you can often find me hiking one of our local mountains to scope out the view at the top! One of my greatest accomplishments to date has been trekking to Mount Everest base camp prior to starting medical school. My hobbies include hot yoga and as of recent, pottery!

My Vision

I have always had a passion for helping others and have found my calling in the naturopathic profession assisting those with their health. My approach to medicine begins with determining the root cause of ailments, rather than jumping to treating a symptom. I am determined to find out why each patient feels the way they do, and I work on taking all symptoms into consideration as the body is interconnected in more ways than we can imagine.

My Education

My naturopathic education was from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine after my Bachelor of Science in Biology at UBCO. My educational passions have always been in health, science, and the body. Because of my science background, I use my research skills to explore the evidence behind treatment modalities, and I am always excited to investigate into the cause of each patients complaints or concerns.

My Practice Focus

I work as a primary care naturopathic physician, with a special interest in hormone balancing, women’s health, digestive issues, adrenal & thyroid dysregulation, stress & sleep issues, autoimmunity, & migraines. My practice blends the conventional medical side of modern science, with holistic treatment values to provide a functional medicine approach.

I help people with the difficult transitions in life; I work with the working professionals, the men and women juggling their busy lives dealing with stress, fatigue, insomnia, anxiety, and possible autoimmune diagnoses. My focusses are in hormonal imbalances & digestive concerns, helping you become the best version of yourself and resilient to everything that life will throw at you.

I use modalities such as acupuncture, botanical medicine, IV and injection therapy, and nutraceuticals. I want to help make the work-life balance easier and optimize your energy and health to be the best version of yourself to be there for your family, your jobs, and yourself.

Additional Certifications:

  • Prescriptive Authority
  • IV & Injection Therapies
  • Acupuncture

Who I Am

I have grown up most of my life in the Okanagan, and have always loved the lifestyle in the valley with most of my hobbies involving the outdoors. When I am not in the clinic seeing patients, I can be found hiking outdoors with my dog!

I fell in love with Naturopathic Medicine because it is a practice where I can unify my passions. Being able to use science, health, and medicine, while giving my patients the time they need to tell their health story, are all things that are important to me in health care.

I see our body as our first home.  A home you should feel safe and healthy in, so when your health begins to stray it can be concerning and even frightening.  While only you have the power to nourish and strengthen your body, my goal is to help guide and support your health journey.  In each case I begin with supportive labs and lifestyle foundations to ensure further treatments such as herbs, nutraceuticals, nutrient IV therapy and injections are successful.

My Practice Focus

I have experience in supporting a variety of concerns and conditions. I have a particular focus in digestive concerns since all health begins with a healthy gut. I also have an expertise in autoimmune support, men’s and women’s health, and integrative cancer care.

Integrative cancer care, however, is an area where I find my calling as a healthcare professional.  Cancer is a complex disease where informational overload can become overwhelming. It is often difficult to process all the information available to us to determine what is appropriate and safe. I support patients during and in between active treatment and remission. I use focused strategies such as high dose vitamin C, mistletoe therapy, and well researched and targeted nutrient therapies.

With the ever-increasing information available, it is hard to know where to start.  It is my hope to help you sort through all the numerous and complex medical information available, and refine it into a simple, consistent plan designed specifically for each patient.

My Education

I graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) with a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine.  I have a double major in chemistry and biology, as well as a degree in Education from the University of British Columbia (UBC).

Who I am

I was born and raised in the Okanagan and enjoy all of its seasons.   When I am not in the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my family, paddle boarding, cross country skiing, playing tennis, pickle ball, travelling when ever I can, and going for walks with my dog, Levy.
